Remember This Bill O’Reilly Attack Piece?

Posted by: FoxNewsBoycott In: Bill O'Reilly

Seven years ago, today, Bill O’Reilly invited a 9/11 victim’s son on his show, only to berate and lecture him for opposing the war in Afghanistan. Stay classy Bill…

Sean Hannity: ‘George Bush…did not play golf while this country was at war.’

Posted by: FoxNewsBoycott In: Sean Hannity

Sean Hannity, speaking with former Bush adviser Nicolle Wallace, made an absurdly ridiculous claim, which, of course, was not refuted by Wallace, nor anyone else at Fox News.

HANNITY: George Bush who you worked for did not play golf while this country was at war. He didn’t want the families of loved ones serving, well, that they may have lost the loved ones seeing him on a golf course.

WALLACE: Yes, I mean…

HANNITY: He seemed to be far more in touch.

Remember, “We must stop the terror. I call upon all nations to do everything they can to stop these terrorist killers. Thank you. Now watch this drive.” and all the time spent in Crawford?

It’s been suggested that it wasn’t the war that made Bush cut down on his golfing, but rather doctor’s orders. Of course, two months after Bush said he quit playing golf (2003) he spent Columbus Day playing with “three long-time buddies” and also attended a golf fundraiser for John McCain in 2008. Condoleezza Rice; however, didn’t give up her game – where was Hannity to call her out-of-touch in 2008?

Fox News’ Sarah Palin a Hypocrite? You Betcha!

Posted by: FoxNewsBoycott In: Sarah Palin

Recently, White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel used the political incorrect term “f***ing retarded” describing the strategy of Senate liberals. Former quitter governor of Alaska and current Fox News personality Sarah Palin called for Rahm Emanuel to be fired in a post on Facebook, equating Emanuel’s statement to using the “N-word.”

PALIN: I would ask the president to show decency in this process by eliminating one member of that inner circle, Mr. Rahm Emanuel, and not allow Rahm’s continued indecent tactics to cloud efforts. Yes, Rahm is known for his caustic, crude references about those with whom he disagrees, but his recent tirade against participants in a strategy session was such a strong slap in many American faces that our president is doing himself a disservice by seeming to condone Rahm’s recent sick and offensive tactic.

The Obama Administration’s Chief of Staff scolded participants, calling them, “F—ing retarded,” according to several participants, as reported in the Wall Street Journal.

Just as we’d be appalled if any public figure of Rahm’s stature ever used the “N-word” or other such inappropriate language, Rahm’s slur on all God’s children with cognitive and developmental disabilities – and the people who love them – is unacceptable, and it’s heartbreaking.

However, a few weeks ago she told Glenn Beck that she was worried that people can no longer use politically incorrect terms in the United States. Here’s a clip (discussion takes part around 4:30):

YouTube Preview Image

Obviously, Beck is no stranger to politically incorrect and insensitive language. One incident that comes to mind is Beck referring to the anti-gay slur used by Grey’s Anatomy star Isaiah Washington toward co-star T.R. Knight as “a naughty name.

BECK: But anyway, Dave, what is the — what is the controversy? One of the guys called another guy a naughty name.

And, don’t forget this comment from Beck about race:

BECK: African-American is a bogus, PC, made-up term. I mean, that’s not a race.

Palin has yet to condemn Rush Limbaugh for using the term several times (i.e. calling liberals “retards” and calling for a “retard summit”).

LIMBAUGH: Our political correct society is acting like some giant insult’s taken place by calling a bunch of people who are retards, retards. I mean these people, these liberal activists are kooks.

They are loony tunes. And I’m not going to apologize for it, I’m just quoting Emanuel. It’s in the news.

I think their big news is he’s out there calling Obama’s number one supporters f’ing retards. So now there’s going to be a meeting. There’s going to be a retard summit at the White House. Much like the beer summit between Obama and Gates and that cop in Cambridge.

So, here we have a woman with a baby that has Down Syndrome, complaining about people using politically incorrect language, while complaining to others about the problem with political correctness, who are politically incorrect themselves, but is also the same person who, according to Levi Johnson, calls Trig, her own child, her “retarded baby.

Where’s the “fair and balanced” outrage? She fits right in at FNC…

FoxNation Terror Attack Fear Mongering

Posted by: FoxNewsBoycott In: Fox Nation

While Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) did ask Director of National Intelligence Dennis C. Blair about the “likelihood of another terrorist-attempted attack on the U.S.,” and Blair did reply that the “priority is certain,” the headline and graphic posted on Fox News’ site, FoxNation.com, was arguably misleading and of the fear mongering variety…

1. The question was about the likelihood of an attempted attack, 2. the response was that an attempt is thought to be certain, 3. the three to six month time line in the question is fairly typical and 4. why the need to invoke the image of 9/11 when there have been numerous “terrorist-attempted attack[s]” on the U.S. that would have been more accurate to depict? Or, show the the senator and/or intelligence chiefs from the Senate Intelligence Committee hearing. They decided not to use a photo of an attempted attack that occurred under Obama’s watch… That wouldn’t be yellow enough for Fox News’ “journalism.”

At the time of this post, MSNBC.com and CNN.com both had photos of the intelligence chiefs answering Feinstein’s question, which is an accurate depiction. FoxNews.com did not have a photo accompanying their article. FoxNation.com was just absurd, like usual, stirring up the emotions and hateful comments (i.e. “If this terror event does happen (and I hope it does not) can they at least take out the White House & congress?”). FoxNation.com was not alone in the headline usage, however – MSNBC.com had a similar one: “Al-Qaeda ‘certain’ to attack U.S. within months.” CNN.com’s headline was better: “Intelligence chiefs: Terror attempts on U.S. ‘certain.’”

Sean Hannity Chosen for ‘Voice’ for GOP at NRCC Fundraiser

Posted by: FoxNewsBoycott In: Sean Hannity

The National Republican Congressional Committee fundraising dinner is next month and who did they choose to deliver the keynote address? None other than Fox NewsSean Hannity. The reason? According to NRCC Chairman Rep. Pete Sessions (R-TX), it’s Hannity’s fighting for conservative values.

Last year’s fundraising dinner was headlined by Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal (R) and a NRCC dinner last June was headlined by Newt Gingrich (replaced Sarah Palin). The NRCC has moved from Republican governors and a former House Speaker to a Fox News personality (formerly a general contractor and bartender)… Did the GOP run out of their own qualified voices?
