Jesse Ventura Makes $1,000 Waterboarding Bet to Sean Hannity

Former Governor, Navy SEAL and professional wrestler, Jesse Ventura, has been making the rounds recently promoting his new book. He’s been on The View, The Howard Stern Show, Sean Hannity’s show, Fox & Friends, etc. He also sat down with The Huffington Post for an interview in which he offered a $1,000 bet that if he were to waterboard Sean Hannity, he’d get Hannity to say that Barack Obama is the greatest president.

“I’ll bet [Hannity] a thousand bucks that I can get him to say ‘Barack Obama is the greatest president’ — if I get him to say it, he’ll give the thousand to charity and if I can’t, I’ll give the money to charity.”

Ventura also mentioned that he wants to go on The O’Reilly Factor, but Bill O’Reilly doesn’t have the courage to have him as a guest.

Glenn Beck is a Waste of Twitter Space

Glenn Beck fans on Twitter are all euphoric over the fact that he’s really there, twittering his tweets with his tweeple.  So, what does @GlennBeck tweet? Apparently the “tweet” thing pisses him off, we’re all going to die, he likes fish, but doesn’t love it, has buyer’s remorse over furniture and wants to show people his meat…

And you thought that he acted crazy when he was on-topic! This man could be the “before” in a commercial promoting ADD medication…

Ann Coulter Terrorist Expert? Right…

Sean Hannity had former “economic expert” turned “terrorist expert,” Ann Coulter on his show yesterday. She’s also known for twice being a suspect in voter fraud. Wait, back up… expert? The only thing she’s an expert on is hate…

So, Hannity and Coulter got to talking about Guantanamo and she made this, totally unchallenged (by Hannity) statement:

“I think it’s preposterous. And (Democrats) certainly have no evidence for it. It just gets said over and over and over again: ‘It’s a recruiting tool for terrorists. It’s a recruiting tool for terrorists.’ I don’t think so. I don’t think most terrorists are going to want to end up in Guantánamo, lovely though the accommodations are.”

Unfortunately for Ann Coulter, not that she cares, real experts disagree. Military and FBI interrogators have said that the detention facility has been used as a recruiting device and at least two reports support that position. Sen. John McCain also agrees.

Boycott: Rockstar Energy Drink Managed by Michael Savage’s Family

Did you know that Rockstar Energy Drink is owned by the son of Michael Savage, a hateful and bigoted friend of Fox News who is banned from entering the UK? The beverage company, managed by Savage’s family, removed profiles of Savage and his wife from their web site when they started selling in Mexico. The company’s chairman is Savage’s wife. Here are just a few examples of some of the disgusting things done or said by Michael Savage:

  • In March 2006, Savage drew the fire of the Roman Catholic community when he accused the Roman Catholic Church of breaking federal law by giving assistance to illegal immigrants.
  • On March 28, 2006, Savage encouraged his listeners to burn Mexican flags to counter a pro-illegal immigration group that had burned American flags.
  • On his July 5, 2007 radio broadcast, commenting on students who were fasting in protest of Congress’ failure to pass immigration reform legislation, Savage declared, “I would say, let them fast until they starve to death; then that solves the problem.”
  • Savage was quoted as saying Muslims “need deportation”, and that adherents of Islam would do well to “take your religion and shove it up your behind” because “I’m sick of you.”
  • On his show and website, Savage has countered that Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is linked to terrorist organizations, and was an “unindicted co-conspirator in an anti-terrorist trial”
  • In June 2008, Savage claimed that the increasing rate of autism diagnoses was the result of “a racket” designed to get disability payments for “poorer families who have found a new way to be parasites on the government.

Gawker Still Trying to Ambush Jesse Watters

Jesse Watters, the producer for The O’Reilly Factor who likes to ambush and harass unsuspecting people and then calls it journalism, is still being hunted by Gawker.com.

Apparently Gawker bloggers learned of Watters’ new $545,000 home, located in a cul-de-sac in Huntington, NY, and have been talking to his neighbors (and the cops called on them). A cul-de-sac has one way in and one way out, so it’s just a matter of time. Hopefully the bloggers more luck ambushing Jesse Watters this time around….

One Month Since Sean Hannity Waterboard Offer

On April 22, 2009, Sean Hannity offered to be waterboarded for our troops. It’s been one month since he made this pledge, thinking that waterboarding is not torture, and he has not followed up it.

Another on-air personality, Erich “Mancow” Muller, thought the same. Until now. He left it up to his listeners who voted that he should be subjected to a waterboarding session, live on his show. He lasted six to seven seconds and now says that it is “absolutely torture.”

Where are you at Hannity?

Fox News Producer Charged with Posession of Child Porn

Aaron Bruns, a Washington based Fox News producer, is facing charges of possessing child pornography, which may result in a minimum of 10 years in prison. Bruns, who was assigned to the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign last year, could also be required to register as a sex offender for the next 15 years.

Police found more than 300 images and at least five movies depicting the sexual abuse of children under the age of 10, including one younger than five.

Ten years ago, while attending University of Michigan, Bruns faced similar charges. In that case, police found more than 2,000 child porn images on his computer, but he was given a second chance because of his age, so no official charges were made.

Due to the two cases, the first in 1999 and the second recent one, Aaron Bruns could face a longer prison sentence of up to 20 years.

Glenn Beck Called “Lying Sack of Dog Mess” on The View

I’m not exactly sure why Glenn Beck wanted to go on The View, much less be allowed to go on the View. Aside from Elisabeth Hasselbeck, a staunch conservative, he wasn’t going to get much support. I don’t think anyone would have expected Whoopie Goldberg to call him a “lying sack of dog mess” on national TV. Apparently, it was in response to a story from Glenn Beck about being approached by the women of The View while on a train and being poorly treated.

It didn’t stop there. Barbara Walters went off on him for lack of research, he can’t provide much of a response to a simple question about his convictions, answering simply, “I believe in God. I believe in the founding of this country. I believe George Washington, James Madison, Thomas Jefferson were geniuses.” I guess that sets him apart from, well, not many people, really… except he took a beating from some women named Whoopie and Barbara. Since then, he’s said that Barbara Walters is a liar and that he wants a “damn apology. ”

Fox News Criticizes Bowing in 3, 2, 1…

Cue the Fox News hate machine for President Barack Obama bowing. I can see it now: How dare he supplicate in his own office!

Apparently a White House staffer’s son wanted to see if Obama’s haircut felt like his own, so the President bent over so the boy could pat his head. The picture is from the White House Flickr feed.

Greta Van Susteren’s Husband is Former Palin Adviser

John Coale, married to Fox News Channel‘s Greta Van Susteren, is a one time adviser to Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin. While he was an outspoken Hillary Clinton supporter during the 2008 primaries, he supported Palin during the general election. He has also traveled with his wife to Alaska and met personally with the Palins regarding use of SarahPAC money. Apparently, he suggested using the money to pay down Clinton’s $2million campaign debt, but downplayed the amount and claimed it was an effort to build a friendship between the two families. Coale does state that he is friends of Sarah and Todd Palin, but that the relationship is not political. You may recall; however, that Greta Van Susteren invited Sarah Palin to the White House Correspondents Dinner and ended up bringing Tod Palin in her place.

Professor Who Spoke Out Against Bill O’Reilly Denied Tenure

Syracuse University professor Boyce Watkins has taken on Bill O’Reilly’s racist comments and has earned himself the resentment of The O’Reilly Factor host. Unfortunately, Syracuse University has taken  Watkins’ disputes with O’Reilly in a negative light and the professor of Finance has lost his tenure.

You may recall, in 2007, the comments O’Reilly made after visiting a black-owned restaurant in Harlem:

O’Reilly spoke at length about how he “couldn’t get over” how the restaurant — black-owned, and primarily with black customers — was full of “respectful” people. He talked about how it was just like “going to an Italian restaurant” and how there wasn’t “any kind of craziness” or anyone “screaming, ‘M-Fer, I want more iced tea.’ “

At one point, O’Reilly sent a producer to Syracuse University to track down Chancellor Nancy Cantor and demand an apology for Watkins’ disagreeing with O’Reilly, who called him, “one of the worst race baiters in the country.” Cantor didn’t apologize, stating that Watkins was speaking as an individual, but that incited O’Reilly to claim that Watkins was hiding behind the university and that Syracuse University does not have academic standards.

For whatever reason the university did seem to single Boyce Watkins out, whereas they did not make similar announcement for other professors speaking as individuals at other venues. This is why, Watkins claims, his tenure request was treated unfairly. Whether or not it’s true, it does bring back to light O’Reilly’s apparent racism and some backstory of those events.

Jesse Ventura Takes on Sean Hannity

While former Governor Jesse “The Body” Ventura was on Sean Hannity’s show yesterday, the questions by Hannity followed an all-to-familiar path. Unfortunately for Hannity, his guest is pretty sharp and isn’t afraid to speak his mind.

Hannity has the nerve to state that the world is better off after Bush’s presidency. Ventura has a different opinion on that matter…

Ventura: You’re telling me that the United States was better off after George Bush or before him?

Hannity: After.

Ventura: Oh, my God. How can you make that statement?

Hannity: I just did..and I’ll tell you why…

Ventura: It’s ridiculous…This country was far better off (No.) before George Bush then it is after George Bush.

Ventura responded to Hannity’s weak argument about President George W. Bush inheriting problems from President Bill Clinton, including terrorist incidents. This exchange is great!

Hannity: There were a group of radicals that were at war with the United States and we weren’t at war with them. We saw the first Trade Center bombing, the Embassy bombings, the USS Cole, and we think radicals that think God is going to reward them in Heaven with virgins. Jesse, how do you stop them.

Ventura: You pay attention to memos on August sixth that tell you exactly what Bin Laden is going to do. Instead we hear Condoleezza Rice going, “I didn’t know what they were going to do.” And the memos says Bin Laden set to hijack planes and ram them into buildings and your buddy George Bush, he was on vacation in Crawford at the time. Do you know he took over 900 days off for vacation?

Hannity: The President’s never off….Do you know that, Let me give you an example…

Ventura: This one was on his watch because the biggest attack happened on his watch.

For Sean Hannity, a renown bully, it was a mistake to have an even bigger bully, like Jesse Ventura, as a guest.

Biden Mentions Secret Bunker. Fox News Tells the World Where it is.

Fox News calls it another verbal gaffe. Ask yourself, is it really a gaffe if it’s true and inconsequential? Fox News reports that Vice President Joe Biden has revealed the whereabouts of a “secret bunker” intended to keep him safe during an attack. The location? Under the Naval Observatory, the official residence for the Vice President and his family. Really, is anyone honestly surprised? There are rooms and tunnels under the White House for the President and the First Family. Various other “secret” locations have been disclosed on the news and in documentaries. And the “secret bunker” that Cheney had built under the Naval Observatory in 2002 was made public knowledge during its construction. It was impossible to hide it from the neighbors… Is this really a gaffe, much less newsworthy?
