Glenn Beck Admits To Being Racist?

Take a look at this clip from 2007 that shows Glenn Beck saying that Jesse Jackson claiming that President Obama is acting “white”  is racist. Keep watching for a Glenn Beck clip from earlier that year, during which Beck states, “[Obama] is very white in many ways… he is. He’s very white.”  So, to Glenn Beck, it’s wrong for Jesse Jackson to say such a thing, but it’s okay for Beck.

Veterans Demand Apology From GOP & Fox News

Regarding the so-called “death book”  that supposedly encourages veterans to “commit suicide” is under fire from veterans. On August 25, RNC Chairman Michael Steele made this claim on Fox & Friends, which went unchecked and, of course, was not disputed.

Now, veterans are demanding an apology from Steel and Fox News for the failure to report the truth and for creating “an atmosphere of mistrust “Let me be absolutely clear, Steele lied. There is no VA manual encouraging veterans to commit suicide,” said Paul Sullivan, the executive director of VCS, a non-profit based in Washington, DC providing advocacy for veterans, especially veterans with mental health conditions.

STEELE: “If you want an example of bad public policy, let’s look at this situation with our veterans where you have a manual out there, telling our veterans stuff like, ‘Are you really a value to your community?’ and, you know, encouraging them to commit suicide. This is crazy coming from the government, and this is exactly what concerns people, what puts them in fear of what government controlled health care, of health care, will look like.”

Obama Attacking Glenn Beck Fails at Spelling

Glenn Beck is known for making offensive claims and claims he can’t back up. He’s admitted that he’s a dirtbag and doesn’t research. Apparently, he can’t spell either.

Beck demonstrated that if you take the first letter of various words he uses to describe or relate to President Obama, you come up with a whole new word.

That word? OLIGARHY

“OLIGARHY” is not a word!

Ten More Advertisers Pull Ads From Glenn Beck’s Show

Ten more companies pull ads from Glenn Beck‘s show on Fox News Channel, including DirecTV, which is owned by Rupert Murdoch‘s News Corp. This brings the total up to 46 companies, including one associated with the network.

Adding to an increasing list of companies distancing themselves from Fox News Channel’s Glenn Beck, ten new companies whose ads were recently seen during Beck’s program—Applebee’s, Bank of America, Bell & Howell, DirecTv, General Mills, Kraft, Regions Financial Corporation, SAM (Store and Move), Travelers Insurance and Vonage—have pledged to take steps to ensure that their ads don’t run on Beck’s show. Forty-six companies have now committed not to support Beck’s show since ColorOfChange.org launched its campaign three weeks ago after the Fox News Channel host called President Obama a “racist” who “has a deep-seated hatred for white people” during an appearance on Fox & Friends.

Three of the latest defections — Travelers Insurance, Bell & Howell and DirecTv — join the list of advertisers who claim to have already placed Glenn Beck’s program on a “do not air” list, but whose ads have been seen on Beck’s program, apparently against their wishes.

“We could not be happier with the results of our campaign so far,” said James Rucker, Executive Director of ColorOfChange.org. “All 46 companies that have distanced themselves from Glenn Beck should be applauded for their stance.”

“We are still reaching out to companies whose ads we see during Beck’s nightly program,” Rucker continued. “Based on the fact that many of the recent ads on Beck’s program are for gold coins and News Corp properties, it looks like Fox News Channel is struggling to place advertisements on Beck’s show.”

Sean Hannity’s Employee Calls Ted Kennedy ‘Piece of Garbage’

Eric Stranger is a Director of Affiliate Relations for The Sean Hannity Show and recently posted the following on Facebook.

The irony is that the media is already positioning Ted as a champion for the little man against wealth and privilege. This piece of garbage was the poster child for wealth and privilege. Hopefully, this event will mark the end of this repugnant family and all the endless crap, entitlement, personal indulgences and collateral damage (Kopechne, Bessette, Bowman, Moxely, etc.).

That puts a new meaning to “don’t be a Stranger.”

Fox News Attacks Color Of Change Co-Founder Van Jones

Color Of Change, an organization effectively pushing sponsors away from Glenn Beck’s show for the inflammatory comments he made about President Obama, was co-founded by Van Jones. Fox News’ Glenn Beck and Fox & Friends hosts have now gone on the attack against Van Jones, who has had nothing to do with the boycott. Jones is now a White House environmental advisor who is working toward clean energy incentives and creating 21st century jobs.

Gretchen Carlson teased the upcoming segment with Glenn Beck by mentioning Van Jones having “ties to a terrorist.” This claim was never backed up, revisited, nor its source cited.

BECK: [Jones is] basically a community organizer inside the framework of our republic. That’s what’s happening. When Barack Obama said, “I am going to promise you fundamental transformation of our nation,” this is what’s happening. We are bringing community organizations and community organizers and we’re embedding them inside of the system to build a new framework. This guy in particular, and he’s not the only one, and you’ll see more tonight, this guy in particular is an avowed communist, communist!

Regardless of Van Jones’ views, he has not been with Color Of Change for two years and had nothing to do with the boycott against Glenn Beck’s advertisers. “Glenn Beck is trying to change the subject,” said James Rucker, executive director of Color of Change, “The issue is his baseless fear mongering.”

Major Garrett Misquotes Obama on The O’Reilly Factor

You may recall back in June when President Obama slammed Fox News for consistently attacking him. On Monday’s edition of The O’Reilly Factor, Bill O’Reilly and Major Garrett discussed this:

GARRETT: As to the strategy now, I would say it’s not a strategy now other than the one time the president mentioned it in the White House, when he was interviewed by John Harwood of CNBC, and he specifically labeled us as a network that wasn’t adequately favorable to him. That was the way he put it.

O’REILLY: No, that’s ridiculous. I mean, no network should be favorable to President Obama. It’s our job to be skeptical of the powerful.

Actually, this is the quote from Obama:

OBAMA: It’s very hard for me to swallow that one. First of all, I’ve got one television station that is entirely devoted to attacking my administration. I mean, you know, that’s a pretty –

HARWOOD: I assume you’re talking about Fox.

OBAMA: Well, that’s a pretty big megaphone. And you’d be hard-pressed if you watched the entire day to find a positive story about me on that front.

See the difference?

Rupert Murdoch Wants Other Papers to Collude With WSJ

Rupert Murdoch‘s News Corp., which owns the Wall Street Journal, has reached out to other newspapers, such as the Los Angeles Times, New York Times, Washington Post and Hearst Corp. Since Murdoch’s decision to charge users to access content on the Wall Street Journal’s web site, he has apparently realized that it will only work if the other big players make the same decision. So, he wants to create a consortium that would charge for online news and also sue anyone that uses content for more than fair use. This, essentially, amounts to price fixing and publishers want antitrust laws changed so they can survive.

Rupert Murdoch’s WSJ Nailed on Karl Rove’s Lies

Attorney Dana Jill Simpson wrote an open letter, published in OpEd News, to Karl Rove, whose article Closing in on Rove contained lies that, Simpson claims, should have been caught by Wall Street Journal editors.

The reason I want to thank you is that Mr. Rove has clearly lied about me in this article. You have captured and printed it without even checking to see if it is so or not. The lie he has told is and I quote, “Judiciary Democrats didn’t get testimony from either Mr. Siegelman or Dana Jill Simpson, the eccentric Alabama lawyer, who drew attention by publicly supporting the allegations.” In case you are unaware, I testified on September 14, 2007, before the House Judiciary Committee lawyers that were selected to question me. I most definitely gave sworn testimony to the House Judiciary Democrats. In fact, I gave over 143 pages of testimony before the Judiciary Democratic and Republican lawyers. It is unfortunate that your paper does not give a rip about the truth or you would have checked out the bold-faced lie that Karl Rove put in his article before you printed it.

Further, I find it extremely tacky that you allow him to call me an eccentric Alabama lawyer. I ask, did you check with anyone other than Karl Rove who clearly hates me for telling on him? Karl also states in his article, “I also understand that Mr. Siegelman and Ms. Simpson refused to cooperate with the Justice Department’s review of his claim of political persecution, while I willingly gave sworn testimony”. It was announced on May 15, 2009, that Mr. Rove was subpoenaed to testify by Nora Dannehy of the DOJ about the firing of the nine attorneys in a criminal matter. I would hardly call that willingly giving sworn testimony.

Further, he pointedly refused to agree to give sworn testimony to the House Judiciary Committee this summer and did not take a sworn oath before chatting with the House Judiciary lawyers that questioned him.

Simpson closes her letter by thanking Rupert Murdoch for owning a newspaper that does not verify facts and publishes lies, which gives her the opportunity to call them out on those lies with verifiable proof.
