Predatory Angel Production, a gay adult entertainment company is asking people to tea bag the tea baggers on May 1, 2009. Participants who post pictures of their event are eligible for prizes including a year’s subscription to their magazines. The following is from the press release I received via email:

“I want the May first teabag event to be about gay marriage, environmental responsibility, corporate responsibility, immigration, better health care, and better schools.”

I don’t know how effective or publicised this event will be due to the nature of the company behind it, but I wish them luck. If you’d like more info on the event, email Aluria.

Fox News is insistent that 1) waterboarding either isn’t torture and 2) it has helped thwart a terrorist attack in L.A. They’re wrong on both counts. The fact of the matter regarding Khalid Shaikh Mohammed being waterboarded helped to stop an attack on the Library Tower in Los Angeles in 2002 is not possible considering he wasn’t captured until 2003. These are the same claims offered by former Bush speech writer Marc A. Thiessen.

But the claim conflicts with the chronology of events put forth on multiple occasions by the Bush administration, as Slate.com’s Timothy Noah has noted. Indeed, the Bush administration said that the Library Tower attack was thwarted in February 2002 — more than a year before Mohammed was captured in March 2003.

On the Fox News web site is a story about Obama’s statement regarding 90% of the guns recovered in Mexico being from the United States. Fox News argues, not the real issue, but the fact that Obama used the word “recovered” rather than “traceable.”

“By recovered he means traceable, guns traced back to the United States,” McDonough said. “These are ATF (Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms) numbers. These are the guns submitted to the ATF for tracing. That’s what we mean by recovered.”

I would call that recovered… In what world does “submitted to the ATF” not mean “recovered?” There’s a reason Obama didn’t say “confiscated from the cartels.” Really, it could go either way, but such a argument about semantics is rather petty on the part of Fox News.

As news of the failed Waco raid broke, would Fox News’ notoriously weepy and apocalyptic host Glenn Beck have broken down on the air and wept for the tyranny that he saw unfolding in the government’s raid? While FBI negotiators tried to win the release of Koresh’s followers, would Beck have warned viewers that the president would “take your gun away one way or another“?

Amidst the 51-day siege, would Beck have warned against the creeping “totalitarian state” inside America? Would the host have gravely announced that we’d “come to a very dangerous point in our country’s long, storied history“?

Would Beck have routinely vilified President Clinton as a fascist? Would he have told viewers that he wanted to debunk the militia-movement conspiracy theory that the federal government was building prison camps, but that he just couldn’t knock the story down — and that, at first glance, it appeared to be “half true”?

Following the release of Bush-era memos by the Obama Administration, Charles Krauthammer, a Fox News contributor, admits that waterboarding is considered torture, but defends its use. Other Fox News personalities think that releasing the documents will “protect us,” “put our national security in jeopardy” and will “hurt our troops.”

Unfortunately, for Fox News, terrorist interrogators disagree with all of those assumptions. In fact, one interrogator claims that a high number of our soldiers injured, or killed, are as a result of the interrogation methods approved by the Bush Administration.

As if you really needed another reason not to visit their site… According to the security forum on DSLReports.com, certain advertisements on the Fox News web site may be distributing malware. And, apparently, you don’t even need to click on the ad to get infected and may contain a keylogger. It looks like someone at Fox News isn’t keeping on top of the ad filtering, or they just don’t care.

Apparently, it’s okay for Fox News to talk about “tea bagging,” but they cry foul when anyone else does. The following graphic and blurb are from the Fox News site.

Cable anchors and guests covered the anti-tax tea party protests across America by cracking a litany of barely concealed sexual references.

“Barely concealed sexual references” about a sexual reference made by Fox News personalities? You bet! I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if Fox News planned this:

1. Use a sexual reference to promote Tea Parties
   
2. Feign ignorance about its meaning
   
3. Tea Party turnout is low across the country
   
4. Play the victim and blame others for making jokes at their expense.

I find this extremely funny… It turns out that Tea Party planners are having to come up with a Plan B and ,apparently, Plan C. Dumping Tea in the Potomac River is illegal, so Plan B was to move the dumping site to Lafayette Square, but protesters were turned away for not having a permit. They also didn’t have a permit to protest in front of the Treasury building… Time for Plan D?

It’s come to light that the people behind what is being billed as the “Fox News Channel Tax Day Tea Parties” are not the regular people with regular jobs organizing in a grass roots manner as they would have you believe. The Fox News personalities repeat, ad nauseum, the talking points about this unorganized grassroots movement. It turns out that the true organizers, besides Fox News, include FreedomWorks and Americans for Prosperity, a couple lobbying and public relations firms. And don’t forget about Glenn Beck’s $500 a plate fundraiser…

Note to TeaBaggers: Grassroots movements do not require lobbyists, public relations, fundraisers, “media” endorsement and promotion, etc. It’s called “astroturfing.”

In what may be a Freudian Slip, author Robert G. Kaufman, makes the following statement regarding what the Republican party should do “when Obama fails” (his words).

“If I had to recommend one single thing that the Republicans should be doing to help articulate the message, it is to acquire another television network so that there is not just FOX, but multiple sources of alternative information that will do a much better job than we did in 2008 to keep things honest. “

Obviously, this isn’t a revelation about the GOP owning Fox News, but rather the fact that Fox News is responsible to the right. This further proves that Fox News is neither fair nor balanced.

Like the pot calling the kettle black, the Rovian attack machine is at it again, calling Vice President Biden a “blowhard,” “serial Exaggerator” and “liar.”

“I hate to say this, but he’s a serial exaggerator,” Rove told FOX News. “If I was being unkind I would say liar. But it is a habit he ought to drop.”

The name calling by Rove was in response to the following statement made by Biden to CNN’s Gloria Borger.

“I remember President Bush saying to me one time in the Oval Office, and he was a great guy, enjoyed being with him. He said to me, he said, well, Joe, he said, I’m a leader. And I said, Mr. President, turn around and look behind you. No one’s following. People are beginning to follow the United States again as a consequence of our administration.”
