The photos with overlaid text on the front page of FoxNews.com is frequently compared to the Lolcats pictures on ICanHasCheezburger.com, but this is ridiculous… Not only is the use of ellipses not warranted, but the emphasis is beyond sensationalist.

  1. I saw this image on reddit the other day, and the VERY first thing that popped into my head was I Can Haz Grammar Lessonz? Fox never seems to surprise me anymore.
.-= Jeff Flowers´s last blog ..Obama’s Healthcare Plan Explained in Four Minutes =-.

    • Yeah fox definitely never ceases to amaze with their fear-based media. And talking about the “camelot dynasty”” in that other headline? There is no shame over at Fox. Dems need to continue disaster recovery efforts after the last election and get their stuff together

While I agree that the punctuation and CAPS are not called for… This is really what you’ve succumbed to? Talk about feigned indignation- turned sensationalism. What’s next? “FOX NEWS USES COMMA WHEN SEMICOLON WOULD HAVE MADE MUCH MORE SENSE!!!!!!!!!!!!” Maybe you should register “FoxNewsTyposAndOtherGrammarWhichWeFindImproperOrVisuallyUnpleasing.com”
You should spend more time policing the vomit-inducing typographic and grammatical bilge spewed by the vast majority of your visitors.
Re: 1 above… You’re willing to post a comment calling for the military murdering people who (you and he don’t believe are real) journalists? When did Hugo Chavez get an account here?

  3. FoxNewsBoycott says:

Gotta love the trolls – pick one post out of hundreds that happens to be about “punctuation” LOL You are really pathetic. Keep trying Ben, or don’t… we won’t miss you.

  4. Crowdaddy13 says:

Ben, you’re a moron…………we have “succumbed” to this? And I refuse to hear the word sensationalism coming from a right-winger to describe liberals. Because first of all, you and your party has the sensationalist people out there. Glenn Beck doesn’t use sensationalism? Or do you live on a different planet Earth, where everything is opposite and liberal means socialist? Oh yea, you do live on that planet.

  5. Ben Franklin says:

Typical liberal… You post a pathetic headline, you’re called out on it’s lameness, and then you point the finger saying “pathetic” It’s time to look in the mirror. What are you… an F-ing Rahm?

Crowdaddy13 Re: 5. “everything is opposite and liberal means socialist?” Serious question: What is the opposite of Socialist? Democrats used to be proud to be called Liberals, then the nuts who ran the party ruined that term, so they had to switch to Progressives, then the nuts who run the party ruined that term, so now the new term is going to be Populist. Can you see a problem when you’re running yourselves out of your own terms because they become a pejorative? Most species are smart enough to know not to crap where they sleep. You guys should take a lesson from any one of them.

  6. FoxNewsBoycott says:

Ben, Is it “pathetic” because it’s incorrect, you don’t agree with it, or it’s not sensationalist enough for you? Or is it “pathetic” because that’s the best you can come up with? LOL Typical troll.

  7. Ben Franklin says:

It’s pathetic because MSNBC, NBC, CBS, CNN, HNN, etc. all broadcast items which are orders of magnitude worse than using caps lock or errant punctuation, but since it’s on your side of the coin, you hide behind the same lame excuse for not calling them out. “…this site isn’t about them, wah wah wah, they can report anything they want as long as it’s left leaning, and I don’t have a problem with it because it furthers my socialist cause…”
If you had an ounce of honor or integrity, you’d be concerned with HONESTY across the ENTIRE media spectrum. But since the truth is irrelevant to you, you have lowered the bar of complaints to “these ellipses were improperly used…” It would be awesome if you had a really strong, proper English accent. That would really sell it.

If you don’t mind, I’m going to shorthand my recurring comment that trying to talk sense to you is like arguing with a wall, down to AwaW. Thanks

  8. FoxNewsBoycott says:

Ben, For the last time, if you want to do something about the rest of the media, DO IT. Nobody is stopping you. But your pathetic ass won’t. You’re obviously a lazy troll who has nothing better to do than post your BS comments here, complaining that someone else isn’t doing what you want like a spoiled brat. The only people to have lowered the bar is Fox News and yourself. Look at how much time you’ve wasted on ellipses!!! I made a brief post (among hundreds) about this topic and you’ve spewed 400+ words of petty diatribe! WTF. Stop ignoring the truth, get over yourself and seek help. Seriously. You’re only making yourself look like an ass.
