Naah. I just want to be a spectator I think. I'm amused by the game Fox and NBC are playing with one another.

Thanks for the offer though.

You're kidding right? How about we boycott NBC too. You know that Zucker guy is a bit a moronic idiot right. Oh wait a minute, I see NBC sponsors this page.

Too funny.

I come from a tech background, so I'll take a look at the tech companies listed

    * Adobe: easy to avoid if you are using Linux: there are good third-party PDF readers. Unfortunately, there's still the Flash issue; the third-party implementations are not that good yet, and the alternative is Microsoft's Silverlight... from the flash pan into the fire
    * AT&T: not as evil as Verizon as far as lock-ins go, but large mobile providers ought to be avoided as far as possible, and AT&T has a near-monopoly position on wired broadband already. Unfortunately Credo hasn't come to Indiana yet, and for a lot of techies, sometimes the phone you want determines the provider you go with (Google phone = T-mobile; iPhone = AT&T). Just remember that Steve Jobs get part of your (huge) monthly contract, every month
    * Best Buy: mostly overpriced. Buy online at Amazon, New Egg, etc; there are comparison sites such as Pricewatch and PriceGrabber
    * CDW: see Best Buy
    * Comcast: use Hulu. A lot of studios also let you watch the latest TV episodes online for free at their websites. There's also iTunes Store, though the videos are DRM'ed and can only be watched on Windows and Mac
    * Dell, HP: unfortunately, boycotting these two means you will be getting more expensive computers (Apple, Sony) or crappier ones (Acer, Gateway, Toshiba -- apart from the latter's subportable range, but those are expensive)
    * DirectTV: unless you live in the desert, don't bother. It's inferior to cable when it comes to Internet access, and signal strength varies depending on weather conditions
    * Earthlink: they're still here?
    * Napster: a shadow of its old self. Amazon sells non-DRMed MP3 files; Apple's iTunes Store sells non-DRMed MP4 files (with the latter, careful not to buy audiobooks; those are DRMed)
    * Nextel/Sprint: it's a CDMA phone. Use this network if you want the Palm smartphones, but good luck with international travel. Cheaper plans than AT&T and better coverage than T-mob, though.
    * Orbitz: oh no. I actually like Orbitz (they use Lisp). Note that sometimes you get a better deal if you search using Orbitz and book directly. Unless your flight involves several airlines
    * Travelocity: haven't used this much. See Orbitz

Zoomit & Karen, Welcome! Many of the companies listed are also in Canada, though I don't know which commercials are different. You are more than welcome to email me a list and I'll definitely consider adding it. As for the petition linked to on the right, that's through Democrats.com and I have no control over that... Thanks for visiting & I look forward to hearing more from you!

Can the creators of this petition broaden the fields in that petition to include Canadians? You'll get lots more signatures considering Greg Gutfeld of Fox recently insulted our nation - but in the process clearly demonstrated his lack of intelligence on the issue he was discussing....so did the other panel members!

So how can we Canadians join in and sign????

Fox News Boycott » Fox News Sponsors...

It may not be a Canadian site, and the cause is not specific to what Canadians felt passionate about, but heck...why not! It's Fox and why not support this cause considering there was no sincere follow-up!...

I hate Fox news, and I especially dislike Sean Hannity. It is bad enough my husband and most of his family are Republicans, but then to have to listen to that guy with my husband...NO THANKYOU! I am not sure I will punish their advertisers directly, I will just punish them by not watching them anymore. Thanks for the post...gave me an excuse to rant. I am just glad the election is over!
