Beck: ‘African-American is a bogus, PC, made-up term… not a race.’

The following quote is from Glenn Beck while discussing the U.S. census…

BECK: African-American is a bogus, PC, made-up term. I mean, that’s not a race. Your ancestry is from Africa and now you live in America. Ok so you were brought over — either your family was brought over through the slave trade or you were born here and your family emigrated here or whatever but that is not a race.

That from someone who states that he doesn’t have “a lot of African-American friends, and I think part of it is because I’m afraid that I would be in an open conversation, and I would say something that somebody would take wrong, and then it would be a nightmare.”

He also recently asked a group of black conservatives, “Why not identify yourself as Americans?” he asked, adding, “I don’t identify myself as white, or a white American.”

Also note that Beck refused to define what “white culture” is, in reference to his rant during which he called President Obama a racist.

I have to be honest, I don’t get how so many people find this guy smart. He’s racist/sexist, but also he makes no sense. He rambles about stuff that has nothing to do with anything, but yet, so many white middle an low class think he is some intelligent. This guy seriously needs to have a debate with a semi-intelligent person to expose his pure stupidity. My little niece is more open-minded and smarter than this rambling idiot. He seriously gives white people a bad name, unfortunately. People have to start stepping up more, 4 years ago I thought nobody could be worse then O’reilly, oh how times change.

I for one am very greatful that there is an alternate view being expressed by Fox News. I t seems that all other networks think they can make a statement about an issue and it should be accepted as gospel. In a free society all views are relevent and have merit. The human mind is capable of disciphering the good and the bad. Most Americans have seen through the bias projected by an alleged media that has no conception of truth. It’s only fair that other views be expressed and allow the peoople to decide. That is the American way. All views should be respected.

That’s like saying that the KKK, gay bashers, skin heads, and every religious cult should have their own national news programs that tell everyone that they should only believe that particular view. Oh Wait… they do, it’s called fox.

Really, Stacey? You think that FNC is home to the KKK, gay bashers, skin heads, and religious cults? I’ll give you Greta Van Susteren and her Church of Scientology, but Christianity a cult? Seriously?

    Here’s a suggestion…change the channel.

Why can’t the Haters just Get a Real Life? Living on their Edge must be very difficult every day of their hate filled lives?

  6. Stacey Hall on January 13th, 2010 at 1:13 pm

Really, Marbran? Exactly where did I claim Christianity is a cult? Seriously. Where? Jump the fence back into the realm of using a real quote instead of pulling a foxism and adding information into something to try to make your point.

    Here’s a suggestion… read before you reply.

Marbran & Ronald B. Massey , what the hell are you guys even doing here? Fox holding on to your paychecks until you fill some blog quota? Cant even get 1 statement on Fox blogs but the rest of the world doesn’t stop you idiots from commenting here, wonder why that is? Fox has to protect their ignorant viewers from discovering some truth.

    heres some quotes for you.

Conservatives are not necessarily stupid, but most stupid people are conservatives.

-source? sounds made up. google only has one listing, a message posting on politico. Making up quotes is sad.

google, if that is your real name, LOL, I couldn’t find it outside of Politico either…
