Conservative Site Calls Glenn Beck ‘Harmful’ To Movement
Filed under Glenn Beck
Self-described as the “flagship of neoconservatism,” Commentary magazine recently published an entry about Glenn Beck titled, “Glenn Beck: Harmful to the Conservative Movement” in response to the the Time cover article by David von Drehle. The author of the Commentary piece, Peter Wehner, states that what he’s seen from Beck should worry the conservative movement.
Wehner lists off many examples that show Beck’s bizarre behavior, including calling Obama a racist, his interest in conspiracy theories, tearing up, screaming at callers, etc. He calls Beck a “roiling mix of fear, resentment, and anger—the antithesis of Ronald Reagan.”
But the role Glenn Beck is playing is harmful in its totality. My hunch is that he is a comet blazing across the media sky right now—and will soon flame out. Whether he does or not, he isn’t the face or disposition that should represent modern-day conservatism. At a time when we should aim for intellectual depth, for tough-minded and reasoned arguments, for good cheer and calm purpose, rather than erratic behavior, he is not the kind of figure conservatives should embrace or cheer on.

WHAT? The voice of conservative reason? Gee, its only years too late. The Glenn Beck insanity wave started way back when W. ran for Pres. and Fox was fanning flames of fear and hate. it has become a Tsunami now.
The Republican Party has lost its collective mind if they continue to allow Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin and everyone on Fox News to speak for them.
This is why i hate being a moderate conservative in this day and age with such morons speaking for the party
