It’s the same concept as having to go through a metal detector and a pat down in a government building, don’t hear you screaming about that. The fact of the matter is that the casual non-dealer would never find that disclaimer, nor would they ever have to agree to it.

Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity have been criticizing President Obama since January 2009 with misleading information and false accusations. Anyone who is intelligent can see through the Fox Network hatred of Barack Obama. The Town Hall meetings, Tea Party gatherings…..99% white and 75% over 50 years old-The exact target audience of Beck and Hannity to inspire FEAR. If they were truly concerned about the United States and their childrens future, they would have been hollering from the rooftops when George Bush declared war on Iraq because he claimed there was weapons of mass destruction and of course could not find one truth to that. (No wnder we could find no other support from any other nations to invade Iraq) Also, the Governments ability to tap our phones and evesdrop on personal conversations. Where was the outrage then? They have no credibility and to claim they are fair and balanced is a joke. Fox News is an all day and evening attack President Obama and they claim to love America….. The ultimate revenge is Obama IS President and will defeat and Republican in 2012. Bring on Sarah Palin,he’ll beat her again!

Everyone in this Country needs to stop believing newscasters and do research for themselves! No matter what party you belong to…stop believing the news. Most stations are biased to a certain party. Instead of being divided we need to unite. If we want to uncover the truth…we need to do our own work and research it ourselves and stop believing the bias medias. Both sides are guilty of it!

I can’t believe that anyone is freaking out that the government expects to be able to protect their websites for one. It’s the same concept as having to go through a metal detector and a pat down in a government building, don’t hear you screaming about that.
Second, I went to the website about 1/2 way through the program being available to see if my clunker ford would qualify, I never got any warning about my pc’s privacy but I did get great links to see how much of a nasty carbon foot print I was creating every year by driving an explorer (it is nasty).
For anyone complaining about our government trying to keep Mal-wear and Trojans out of the data bases, feel free to open any email and go to any website after you disable your fire walls and shut down your anti-virus. To quote plenty of my republican friends from when they talked about the wire tapping et-al “I don’t have anything to hide from my government”.

And yes, Beck is trying to spread unnecessary fear. Any intelligent person would read the disclaimer before submitting their personal information to a government website. Anyone who doesn’t read it deserves whatever problem is coming to them.

Ben, Stop with the petty battle of semantics. We all know what Beck said and that his intention is to fuel the fire by spreading fear where it doesn’t belong. It’s obvious now that you’re just making stuff up i.e. the email being from Glenn Beck – nobody said that. You still can’t seem to grasp the fact that he told people not to go to Cars.gov and then showed the audience a part of the site that they could not get to unless they were a car dealer. You also seem to ignore the fact that he disregarded the rest of the disclaimer that clearly states that it only applies to information submitted to the system. “The responsible thing to do as a host of a show being shown across the country” is to do some research and provide the actual facts, not just what you incorrectly interpret them as being.
