When Reagan abolished the “Fairness Docturne” he knew precisley what he actually wanted to accomplish. Reagan knew that he was opening the door for the likes of Beck, Hannity, O’Reilly , Savage, Limbaugh.. to spew their distorted Republican agenda …and say anything to destroy any beneficial program introduced by the Democrats. I hope that Obama will restore the “Fairness Docturne”..
You have to be kidding on your remarks about Glenn Beck, he is one of the few people who tell it like it is…doubt it…were losing another freedom right now and it is all government trying to scare us into submission. The example being…patting down at the airports. First of all if anyone really wants to bomb a place they will find a way to do it..believe me patting down will not help…they can cross the borders between Canada and the U.S. or Mexico. We should take a lesson from Israel…when was the last time they had terrorist activity…how are they handling it. Would you be allowed to pat down your neighbor if you suspected him or her to be a terrorist…do we now tell our children it is alright to be touched by strangers…GET REAL AND WAKE UP..SLOWLY OUR FREEDOMS ARE BEING TAKEN AWAY BY THE GOVERNMENT..ARE YOU WILLING TO HAVE GOVERNMENT MAKE ALL YOUR DECISIONS FOR YOU, AS THOUGH GOD DID NOT GIVE YOU A BRAIN TO THINK ON YOUR OWN….WAKE UP!!!!!!
Carroll, You chose a really bad example. Glenn Beck isn’t unique or even a front-runner in the fight against the “freedom pats” and “porno scanners.” That’s coming from all directions. The problems with Beck are the really far-fetched conspiracy theories like FEMA camps, all the BS George Soros connections and Beck’s obsession with Hitler and Nazis. What you’ve done is simply used a position that’s popular with many people on both sides of practically any other divisive issue to show that Beck tells it like it is…
