tom, If “this is a silly little website,” and you’re posting a childish comment on “a silly little website,” what does that make you? Nothing, but another Internet troll who makes unfounded attacks and calls people names like a 3yr old. You, obviously, can’t read either. The quotes from Hannity and Rove were not about Harry Hay, but rather Kevin Jennings, who does not have a direct connection with NAMBLA, which they would have you believe. Harry Hay might, but you’re using guilt by association and falsely state that he was the subject of the NAMBLA piece. You state that this “silly little website” lies through its teeth, back it up. Where is your proof? Why do I only see one comment from you? LOL… FNB has been mentioned on far more places than Craigslist… What have you done besides being a troll on a “silly little website?”

This is a silly little website that obviously lies through its teeth and just omits the fact that Harry hay was the subject of the nambla piece. I do disagree with Hannity and Rove on this issue. Jennings should not resign because of the platitudes he heaped on Hay. I never defended Hannity or Rove. In fact, I never mentioned them.

You could have made your point and still reported the entire story. Leaving out Harry Hay’s role in this story was either sloppy, lazy, or inconvenient.

Plunket, It appears you’re taking criticism of Hannity and Rove to heart when you seemingly disagree with them by stating, “I never said Jennings supported NAMBLA or that he was guilty by association. Ever.” They did say that and therein is the issue – Hannity’s use a loaded question, an informal fallacy, and Rove’s direct attack are absolutely smears with no basis in fact, or at least based on fallacious reasoning. As much as I would like Jennings to put this issue to rest, I would hate to see any legitimacy given to Hannity and Rove’s accusations. Also, using a foreword to a book that praises, not NAMBLA, but someone’s work unrelated to NAMBLA, is guilt by association, a logical fallacy, as there is absolutely no evidence of any direct support of NAMBLA by Jennings.

As for the “inside information” theory, that was from a source I can’t find now and admittedly should not have included since I didn’t take the time to look for any additional sources to corroborate. I try not to do that.

I was just interested in why you left Harry Hay, a main component of the controversy, out of your story. You wrote, “Of course, the typical right wing extremist view that gay rights are automatically and directly connected to NAMBLA… is a blatant smear tactic. At best, it’s pure ignorance.” Gay rights had nothing to do with it. It was Jennings’ praise of extremist extraordinaire Harry Hay. It doesn’t take a clairvoyant to divine why you failed to mention Hay even once in your entire post. He didn’t fit into the homophobic angle you were playing up. For that reason, you were clearly misleading the reader.

I never said Jennings supported NAMBLA or that he was guilty by association. Ever.

As far as Hay infiltrating NAMBLA “in order to gain inside information”…well, that is LOL!

Plunket, LOL! You’re a lucky person to be able to see my thoughts and know my intentions… Sorry to say, you’re wrong. I have no intention of misleading readers. I also have no intention of being so ignorant as to believe that “Kevin Jennings support[s] the group NAMBLA” because of the logical fallacy: guilt by association. Hay has done more in his life than be associated with NAMBLA, which he may have been in order to obtain inside information. Any praise by Jennings would be for Hay’s other achievements, unless you can provide any direct statements from Jennings that supports NAMBLA. We’ll wait…

You never mentioned the middle man in this controversy. Jennings’ connection to NAMBLA was his praise of Harry Hay. This was made clear throughout the show. Hay was clearly sympathetic to NAMBLA. He demanded that NAMBLA be allowed to march in gay pride parades and endorsed their ideology. NAMBLA memorialized Hay on the cover of their magazine when Hay passed in 2002.

Jennings lauded the pioneering efforts of Harry Hay in relation to gay rights. Hay was affliated with NAMBLA, maybe the most disgusting organization on the planet. That’s your connection.

You’re intentionally misleading your readers. This is the kind of thing you accuse Fox of doing.
