Fox News SUV in Alleged Hit & Run Incident With Cylclist

Brian Dooda, a NYC cyclist, was recently involved in an altercation with a Fox News writer that, allegedly, led to Dooda getting hit by the Fox News SUV and subsequently dragged for 200 feet. The driver, Don Broderick, admits to having an altercation with Dooda, but claims that the cylcist was a “vigilante” who attacked him first.

Apparently, Dooda was riding down Central Park East at about 25mph, which was the speed limit. Dooda claims that Broderick was in a hurry, passed him and then cut him off. Dooda caught up with the SUV and  pointed out the unsafe driving. According to Dooda, he was hit by the SUV, ended up on the vehicle’s hood where he was dragged for approximately 200 feet, Broderick stopped quickly, then accelerated, hitting Dooda again.

Regardless of who started the altercation, if it was even justified to begin with, the driver has little defense for the hit & run, much less dragging someone on their hood for four blocks! At least the cyclist has a sense of humor about it. He stated, “I wonder if he’s from Fox News, because he was such an asshole.” Funny enough, he was.
