Liz Cheney Suggests Obama Sides With Terrorists on Fox News

Liz Cheney, the daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney, was on Fox News to discuss President Obama’s decision regarding the release of detainee abuse photos.

“I have heard from families of sevicemembers, from families of 9/11 victims, this question about, you know, ‘When did it become so fashionable for us to side, really, with the terrorists?‘” Ms. Cheney said on Fox News Channel. “You know, for us to put information out that hurts American soldiers?”

The photos are part of an ACLU Freedom of Information Act request from 2003. Of course, she would be against anything that could possibly paint her father in a negative light.

Fox News Promotes Tea Party 2.0

If you’re shaking your head in disbelief, you’re not alone… Today is the day for Tea Party 2.0, a public teleconference hosted by the Republican Governors Association (RGA). Greta Van Susteren hosted Gov. Mark Sanford (R-SC) to promote the event and Fox News also had the following advertised on air.

So, if you want to join a teleconference with Governors Mark Sanford and Rick Perry (R-TX), you know what to do…

Janeane Garafalo Handles Ambush on Fox News

Coming out of Starbucks, minding her own business, Janeane Garafalo was ambushed with with questions about her comments regarding the Tea Party protesters being “racist rednecks.” She handled herself well and turned the table by pointing out some of the offensive signs and asking, several times, “Why were they not protesting for the last eight years under the Bush spending?”

Might I also point out the irony that it was Greta Van Susteren who aired the video. That’s right, Van Susteren, who recently denounced ambush journalism when she was watching over Todd Palin at the White House Correspondents Dinner.

MyFoxOrlando Spreads Lie About Obama

There was an email hoax going around regarding President Obama, HR 1388 and Hamas refugees in the US. This hoax was posted in its entirety, without disclaimer, or evidence to the contrary, on MyFoxOrlando.com. The hoax was debunked on FactCheck.org and Snopes.com.

Whether you are an Obama fan, or not, EVERYONE IN THE U. S. needs to know….

Something happened… H.R. 1388 was passed yesterday, behind our backs. You may want to read about it. It wasn’t mentioned on the news… just went by on the ticker tape at the bottom of the CNN screen.

Obama funds $20M in tax payer dollars to immigrate Hamas Refugees to the USA. This is the news that didn’t make the headlines…

There were several comments prior to some sensible people doing research and posting that it’s not true. Those people who believe everything they read from Fox News… wow… you’re something special…

Update: It was brought to my attention that this is a blog post by a community member and not a news article. Either their blogs aren’t moderated, or they don’t care that their members spread misinformation.

Fox News Invites Sarah & Todd Palin to White House Correspondents Dinner

Apparently, Fox News is so “fair and balanced” they saw fit to invite Alaskan Governor and failed VP-to-be Sarah  Palin to the White House Correspondents Dinner. But, due to flooding in Alaska, she will not be in attendance, so her husband, Todd, will sit in for her. It’s becoming obvious that Fox News is going to push for Gov. Sarah Palin to run for President in 2012.

Fox News Video Cropping and Manipulation

Here is a great mashup video showing how Fox News crops and manipulates video to show people, like Barack Obama, stating things that have the entirely opposite meaning than the context of the message.

News Corp Sees Major Losses

Fox News parent company News Corp saw a more than 95% drop last fiscal quarter in operating income for television and newspaper segments. Total income fell 47% to $755 million and revenue fell almost 16%. Unfortunately, Fox News Channel almost doubled their income compared to the same quarter the previous year due to increased ad rates, which likely rose because their ratings were up. It is also a sign that the economy may be taking a turn for the better – people are spending more money and companies can spend more to advertise.

David Shuster Blasts Fox News

The following quotes are from David Shuster while on The Stephanie Miller Show Thursday… Enjoy!

You know Fox is, I mean, I can go on and on and on about Fox. I mean, I think their approach to this has been- I mean, look, if Fox wants to consider themselves the GOP house organ, that’s fine. They completely backed it up. When Fox starts describing themselves as journalists or a news organization, that’s where I think it’s appropriate to describe Fox as disgraceful. I mean, the set of rules, the set of standards that Fox pretends to try to follow. I mean, I don’t even know where to begin with Fox. It’s just insanity. If you want to make an argument that, look, President Obama is socialist, prove it. Taking the tax rate for the wealthy from 36 to 39 percent, it that socialist?

I was just going to say, Fox has just been brutal. I mean, their coverage on the Fox News Channel has been atrocious. The stuff that comes out of Sean Hannity’s mouth has been infuriating. The stuff that Bill O’Reilly says has been illogical. You go up and down the schedule and its insanity over there. And, you know, you can say, the American people, maybe the American people deserve some of the blame for being not so well informed about the issues of the day, and that’s fine. But there’s a problem when news organizations deliberately or intentionally mislead people or misinform the public and get them to think, “Oh, Iraq was part of 9/11″ when, no. I mean, you go up and down the list at the number of lies, perpetuated, promoted by Fox News is just shameful and it hurts everybody.

Bill O’Reilly Uses Poll To Show Lower Rating For Obama

First things first – A Fox News poll shows Barack Obama’s approval rating above 60%.

So, why would Bill O’Reilly not use that poll’s findings? Is it not accurate? Is it because he found one that gives Obama a lower rating? According to the Rasmussen poll, only 34% of American approve of the job Obama is doing. He chose to use that poll instead.

What is this Rasmussen poll? Scott Rasmussen is a frequent guest on Fox News and the poll’s questions have frequently been criticized for have a strong right-wing slant. Ah hah.

Bill Cunningham’s Wingnuttiness on Fox News

Typically, Fox News personalities throw in one or two anti-Obama talking points into their rants, but guest Bill Cunningham, a talk show host in Cincinnati, put them all together in one extremely insanity filled pile of ignorant hate while talking to Sean Hannity and Geraldo Rivera:

“Sean, what we have here is this little boy who grew up in Jakarta, Indonesia, at the age of 6 to 10, rejected by his own father, rejected by his own mother, rejected by his stepfather, raised by his grandparents, bowing before the King of Saudi Arabia, kissing the behind of every European socialist, saying okay to people like Ahmenijad — we have the most dishonest, the most disreputable 100 days in American history, and this guy actually believes it’s good!”

Cunningham also goes off on rants about the Statue of Liberty belonging in Cuba and Venesuela, wanting the Panama Canal back and declaring himself and Sean Hannity as “normal” Americans. Geraldo actually came across as the voice of reason!

Beck Complains About Obama Not Calling on FNC Reporter

Well, true, Glenn Beck is a complainer. He seems to enjoy whining and crying, but this is is just petty. During Yesterday’s news conference, Barack Obama didn’t take a question from a Fox News reporter. Now Republicans, and Glenn Beck, are crying foul and making a big deal out of nothing. Here are a couple of Beck’s comments.

“What a surprise” he said sarcastically before asking, “I mean how can the guy face Ahmadinejad but he can’t face Fox?”

While we (including Beck) can’t say we know for certain whether or not Obama ignored a question from FNC, we do know that he has not in the past. He answered questions from FNC during the past two news conferences. Scared? Hardly.

A Fox News Haiku

Ever since news broke about Obama’s criticism of Fox News and Tea Parties, Fox News, and Tea Baggers alike, have been up-in-arms calling Obama’s comments attacks or pot shots. The irony here is thick enough to cut with a knife… So, I make a little haiku that sums it up:

Fox can dish it out
Their attacks on Obama
But Fox can’t take it
