John Cook from Gawker.com finally met up with Jesse Watters, a producer for The O’Reilly Factor,  outside of his Huntington, NY house on Saturday morning. Unfortunately, they didn’t get an interview as they avoided confrontation and allowed Watters to leave, without incident, or a word spoken.

After two months of tracking and waiting for such an opportunity, the result is a disappointment, but the nonconfrontational nature of the “ambush” goes further in showing how much of a coward Watters is. If he can dish it out, he should be able to take it. But alas, he wasn’t even asked to take it. He was given courtesy, but he had none to give in return.

Are any of us really surprised?

Jesse Watters, the producer for The O’Reilly Factor who likes to ambush and harass unsuspecting people and then calls it journalism, is still being hunted by Gawker.com.

Apparently Gawker bloggers learned of Watters’ new $545,000 home, located in a cul-de-sac in Huntington, NY, and have been talking to his neighbors (and the cops called on them). A cul-de-sac has one way in and one way out, so it’s just a matter of time. Hopefully the bloggers more luck ambushing Jesse Watters this time around….

If you’re like me, you’re following Gawker.com and waiting to see if they ever catch up with The O’Reilly Factor producer, Jesse Watters, much less get to ask him the questions they’ve outlined on their site. Their questions cover the following topics.

On Twitter, Watters stated that he doesn’t consider what he does ambushing, but the evidence shows an entirely different story. These facts are from the horses ass mouth so-to-speak.

Exhibit 1) A blog post by Watters titled “Producer’s Notebook: Ambushed.”

Exhibit 2) O’Reilly interview with Watters – O’Reilly: “Back of the Book” segment tonight, ambush journalism… With us now “Factor” producer Jesse Watters, one of our field guides.

The questions also cover several instances where Watters position is, basically, they need to ambush because people refuse to come on the show. However, it’s hard for someone to accept an invitation when one isn’t offered.

In complete absence of journalistic integrity, The O’Reilly Factor’s producer Jesse Watters ambushes and harasses people who are critical of the show or O’Reilly’s agenda. Gawker.com wants to see how he likes it…

Apparently Watters can dish out the ambushing, but can’t take it. He has repeatedly refused interviews, so Gawker.com has resorted to using the same tactics against him. Hopefully they’ll have some video soon, but they’re still waiting outside of his last known address.
