Sarah Palin Frequent Guest on Opinion Shows

Remember, recently, when Fox News contributor Sarah Palin made comments on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno regarding the “fairness” and “balance” of today’s journalism and her reason for joining Fox News Channel? To refresh your memory, she basically slammed news shows that borrow content from opinion shows, which FNC has plenty of… However, she has been a frequent guest on those types of shows – here’s a short rundown of her appearances since she joined the network:

  • 1/12/2010 – The O’Reilly Factor
  • 1/13/2010 – Glenn Beck
  • 1/14/2010 – Hannity
  • 1/19/2010 – On the Record with Greta Van Susteren
  • 1/20/2010 – The O’Reilly Factor
  • 1/20/2010 – Hannity
  • 1/27/2010 – Hannity
  • 1/27/2010 – On the Record with Greta Van Susteren
  • 1/28/2010 – On the Record with Greta Van Susteren
  • 2/16/2010 – The O’Reilly Factor
  • 2/25/2010 – Hannity

Really, there’s not much surprise here considering Sarah Palin’s hypocrisy.

Fox News’ Sarah Palin a Hypocrite? You Betcha!

Recently, White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel used the political incorrect term “f***ing retarded” describing the strategy of Senate liberals. Former quitter governor of Alaska and current Fox News personality Sarah Palin called for Rahm Emanuel to be fired in a post on Facebook, equating Emanuel’s statement to using the “N-word.”

PALIN: I would ask the president to show decency in this process by eliminating one member of that inner circle, Mr. Rahm Emanuel, and not allow Rahm’s continued indecent tactics to cloud efforts. Yes, Rahm is known for his caustic, crude references about those with whom he disagrees, but his recent tirade against participants in a strategy session was such a strong slap in many American faces that our president is doing himself a disservice by seeming to condone Rahm’s recent sick and offensive tactic.

The Obama Administration’s Chief of Staff scolded participants, calling them, “F—ing retarded,” according to several participants, as reported in the Wall Street Journal.

Just as we’d be appalled if any public figure of Rahm’s stature ever used the “N-word” or other such inappropriate language, Rahm’s slur on all God’s children with cognitive and developmental disabilities – and the people who love them – is unacceptable, and it’s heartbreaking.

However, a few weeks ago she told Glenn Beck that she was worried that people can no longer use politically incorrect terms in the United States. Here’s a clip (discussion takes part around 4:30):

YouTube Preview Image

Obviously, Beck is no stranger to politically incorrect and insensitive language. One incident that comes to mind is Beck referring to the anti-gay slur used by Grey’s Anatomy star Isaiah Washington toward co-star T.R. Knight as “a naughty name.

BECK: But anyway, Dave, what is the — what is the controversy? One of the guys called another guy a naughty name.

And, don’t forget this comment from Beck about race:

BECK: African-American is a bogus, PC, made-up term. I mean, that’s not a race.

Palin has yet to condemn Rush Limbaugh for using the term several times (i.e. calling liberals “retards” and calling for a “retard summit”).

LIMBAUGH: Our political correct society is acting like some giant insult’s taken place by calling a bunch of people who are retards, retards. I mean these people, these liberal activists are kooks.

They are loony tunes. And I’m not going to apologize for it, I’m just quoting Emanuel. It’s in the news.

I think their big news is he’s out there calling Obama’s number one supporters f’ing retards. So now there’s going to be a meeting. There’s going to be a retard summit at the White House. Much like the beer summit between Obama and Gates and that cop in Cambridge.

So, here we have a woman with a baby that has Down Syndrome, complaining about people using politically incorrect language, while complaining to others about the problem with political correctness, who are politically incorrect themselves, but is also the same person who, according to Levi Johnson, calls Trig, her own child, her “retarded baby.

Where’s the “fair and balanced” outrage? She fits right in at FNC…

Video: What If Glenn Beck Is Actually Mentally Retarded?

This is a pretty good video for showing some of Glenn Beck’s hypocrisy, double speak and buzz word use, discussing such things as the Obama/racist comments, hating 9/11 victims’ families, spelling OLIGARHY, etc. This video is not posted for the harsh comments, but rather the examples provided.

White House Takes on ‘Czar’ Claims, Slams Glenn Beck

Fox News has focused many hours to uncovering and trying to take down so-called “Czars.” The White House has, apparently, had enough of the nonsense and published a firm statement on their official blog. One of the people they’ve called out is Glenn Beck.

Glenn Beck Claimed There Were 32 “Czars” In The Obama Administration. “The Brainroom counts 32 czars in the Obama administration, based on media reports from reputable sources that have identified the official in question as a czar.” [Glenn Beck Website, 8/21/09]

Reality: Many of the arbitrarily labeled “czars” on Beck’s list are Senate-confirmed appointees or advisory roles carried over from previous administrations. Others are advisors to the President’s Cabinet Secretaries.  Beck himself says on his own website, “Since czar isn’t an official job title, the number is somewhat in the eye of the beholder.”

Here are the important points from the White House blog:

  • Republicans have supported these positions in the past.
  • In fact, the Bush administration had many of the same officials and advisors now described as “czars,”  including Afghanistan czar, AIDS czarDrug czarFaith-based czar, Intelligence czar, Mideast Peace Czar, Regulatory Czar, Science Czar, Sudan Czar, TARP/Bailout Czar, Terrorism Czar, and Weapons Czar.
  • Some hold jobs that involved coordinating the work of agencies on President Obama’s key policy priorities: health insurance reform, energy and green jobs, and building a new foundation for long-lasting economic growth
  • Of the 32 “czars” on Beck’s list, nine were confirmed by the Senate
  • Sen. Robert Bennett has criticized czars as “undermining the Constitution,”  but reportedly prodded President Clinton to appoint a Y2K Czar.  In a 1999 CNN appearance, Sen. Bennett said “I think John Koskinen has been superb. I wrote the president six months before John was appointed, recommending that he appoint a Y2K czar.”
  • Senator Lamar Alexander has also criticized President Obama’s “czars,” calling them “an affront to the Constitution.”  But during remarks delivered on the Senate floor in 2003, Sen. Alexander said “I would welcome” President Bush’s “manufacturing job czar.”
  • When asked on Fox News if he had opposed any of President Bush’s “czars,” Rep. Darrell Issa responded “No we didn’t,” despite previously claiming that czars “undermine” transparency and accountability.

Bill O’Reilly’s Support of ‘Czars’ Under Bush

Rounding out today’s stories about so-called “czars” is a history lesson involving Bill O’Reilly. Everyone from the O’Reilly Factor guest-host Laura Ingraham, Glenn Beck to Sean Hannity to Fox & Friends is on the attack against “czars” under the Obama Administration, regardless of the fact that many of the positions existed under previous administrations, they’re confirmed by the Senate, or that they are simply advisers. What did Bill O’Reilly have to say in 2001 & 2002? Let’s take a look…

O’REILLY (October 4, 2001): Yeah, there should be somebody appointed by the federal government, a disaster relief victims family czar, to do it.

O’REILLY (October 21, 2001): So things are moving in the right direction, but are still far too chaotic. Talking Points continues to ask for the appointment of a charity czar to coordinate all the money and organizations.

O’REILLY (March 13, 2002): A presidential counsel should be appointed immigration czar and clean out the INS once and for all. This pitiful government agency has put all of us in danger. It simply does not perform, and all the excuses in the world don’t cut it. Shut it down, start again. The INS is a dangerous failure.

O’REILLY (June 11, 2002): It’s time for Congress to act and for the president to appoint a charity czar to oversee the money and hold the charities accountable.

Sean Hannity’s Thesis Paper Hypocrisy

Sean Hannity is known for his hypocrisy, criticising what he is guilty of having done himself… Here is a transcript from his show attacking so-called smears about Bob McDonnell’s graduate school thesis paper. Keep reading below for a similar transcript of Hannity doing the same…

HANNITY: By the way, we’ve got to watch out, folks. We’ve been telling you about the lead that Bob McDonnell has in the state of Virginia; that lead is now cut in half. There’s been an all-out war declared by The Washington Post against Bob McDonnell, a solid conservative. And the effort to smear, besmirch, demonize, and impact that election is under full way here, and a lot of this has to do — well, they went through the great effort to dig up a graduate school thesis that he wrote, and they’re claiming that, well, he’s saying that “homosexuality, working women, and abortion are detrimental to traditional American families.”

McDonnell has repudiated much of the thesis during a conference call with reporters, but it doesn’t matter. I mean, it’s OK, that was, let’s see, 20 years ago, we’ll go back to opinions that he might have held at a time when he’s writing a thesis, which by design is supposed to be provocative, and yet they’re not holding Barack Obama accountable to the pastor whose church he still went to throughout the campaign until he had to get rid of the pastor. America’s chickens have come home to roost, U.S. of KKK –

HANNITY: Now if they put the same energy into — into investigating Barack Obama, I wonder if we would have had a different result in that election? You see how abusively biased the media can be? It’s unbelievable.

Perhaps he forgot that he smeared, besmirched and demonized Michelle Obama and Hillary Clinton for their thesis papers, released more than 20 years ago.

HANNITY: Chapter six, the thesis. It’s a 38-year-old document that’s been rumored about, analyzed, debated, criticized, and defended. Until recently, few have read it because it was hidden away at the request of Bill Clinton’s administration for the eight years he was in office.

These 90 pages, steeped in intrigue and mystery, are the senior thesis of Hillary D. Rodham, Wellesley College class of 1969. Hillary’s thesis, elevated to mystical status from years of secrecy, is now available to anyone inclined to visit Wellesley’s archives.

It begs the question: Why was it so important to the Clintons to keep it a secret. How can the words of a 21-year-old political science major be so damaging and explosive? And most importantly, why did the Clintons ask Wellesley College to hide the thesis in 1993?

Once dubbed a Rosetta Stone, the answer may lie in the fact that it exposes the real Hillary Clinton. In her own words, it allows readers to decipher the true thinking of the former first lady and now 2008 presidential hopeful.

[...]

HANNITY: What’s the real reason behind the Clintons’ desperate attempt to have it banned? Many biographers see it as evidence of the Marxist and socialist views of the young Hillary Rodham — views that she tries to downplay depending on the political winds but clearly maintains today.

Glenn Beck Admits To Being Racist?

Take a look at this clip from 2007 that shows Glenn Beck saying that Jesse Jackson claiming that President Obama is acting “white”  is racist. Keep watching for a Glenn Beck clip from earlier that year, during which Beck states, “[Obama] is very white in many ways… he is. He’s very white.”  So, to Glenn Beck, it’s wrong for Jesse Jackson to say such a thing, but it’s okay for Beck.

Hypocrite Hannity Against Snitching, Asks Fans To Snitch

Sean Hannity is among the conspiracy nuts out there concerned about the flag@whitehouse.gov email address, similar to the “Fight the Smears” campaign. The email address that was provided so the White House could address rumors and lies about health care reform. The health care reform that is being attacked at Town Hall meetings. The Town Hall meetings Hannity now wants his viewers to monitor and record Democrats at.

In other words, Sean Hannity proves, once again, that he’s a hypocrite. He is afraid of snitches, but asks his audience to snitch. Is it ok? Is it not ok? He can’t make up his mind! Hint: it’s only ok when it benefits him.

Sean Hannity talking about flag@whitehouse.gov:

HANNITY: It almost sounds like a secret police where citizens now report on each other, doesn’t it?

Sean Hannity talking about Town Hall meetings:

HANNITY: This is where your cell phones come in very handy at these events, so you can chronicle just how the Democratic Party really feels about America and Americans and free speech.

Bill O’Reilly Criticizes Freedom of the Press

While attempting to discredit a poll taken by the New York Times, Bill O’Reilly lets his true feelings about freedom of the press be known…

OREILLY: The most frustrating part about this is that nothing can be done. The Times has an ombudsman, but he’s a joke, and no outside agency has any power over the paper. It can pretty much do what it wants, and does.

How hypocritical considering Fox News’ history of regurgitating “news” from the GOP, while bad mouthing other networks every time they run a positive piece about Barack Obama. Of course, this is nothing new from O’Reilly… Here he is going ballistic about those media people he disagrees with:

O’REILLY: [T]here is a huge problem in this country and I’m going to attack that problem. I’m going to attack it. These people aren’t getting away with this. I’m going to go right where they live. Every corrupt media person in this country is on notice, right now. I’m coming after you…I’m going to hunt you down [...] if I could strangle these people and not go to hell and get executed…I would.

Bill O’Reilly Questions Importance of Holocaust Museum Shooting

Bill O’Reilly has repeatedly criticized other networks for the amount of reporting they have done on other recent killings. Bill O’Reilly, the guy who doesn’t speak of the killing at the Holocaust Museum, other than to question whether or not it’s newsworthy…

O’REILLY: Now, this is an 89-year-old anti-Semite bigot kills an innocent guy in the Holocaust Museum. OK? Now, what about the newsworthiness of this? … Is it as newsworthy as Private Long?

Sean Hannity’s “B” Word Hypocrisy

We know Sean Hannity is a hypocrite, so I’ll get to the point. Yesterday, the Fox News personality made the following statement while talking to Miss California Carrie Prejean…

“[Blogger Perez Hilton] called her ‘a dumb ‘B.’ I mean, how dare — and not only that, he said he would’ve violently ripped off the crown off her head… I would think that you wouldn’t want somebody that calls a woman — any woman — a dumb ‘b’ ever on your show.”

Apparently, it’s okay for friends of Sean Hannity to call women the “B” word, but not people who disagree with his friends. In 2007, right-wing rocker Ted Nugent, who Hannity refers to as a “friend and frequent guest on the program,” was shown on Hannity’s show calling Hillary Clinton a “worthless bitch.”

Janeane Garafalo Handles Ambush on Fox News

Coming out of Starbucks, minding her own business, Janeane Garafalo was ambushed with with questions about her comments regarding the Tea Party protesters being “racist rednecks.” She handled herself well and turned the table by pointing out some of the offensive signs and asking, several times, “Why were they not protesting for the last eight years under the Bush spending?”

Might I also point out the irony that it was Greta Van Susteren who aired the video. That’s right, Van Susteren, who recently denounced ambush journalism when she was watching over Todd Palin at the White House Correspondents Dinner.

Hannity’s Pseudo Outrage Over Sykes Jokes

Sean Hannity’s hypocrisy in 3, 2, 1…

As you’ve seen everywhere, conservatives are all up in arms about Wanda Sykes and her roasting at the White House Correspondents Dinner. While somethings are better left unsaid, and jokes are often based in fact, not to mention this was a roast, Sean Hannity had the following to say about the incident.

Calling him a terrorist, comparing him to bin Laden, et cetera, et cetera, and then wishing kidney failure. Now for all the moral indignation and outrage over waterboarding, what would be worse, wishing an American citizen who has a different point of view that his kidneys fail and to waterboard a terrorist to get information?

Now there is a double standard. Now can you imagine if we go through this list here of — what if somebody called Barack Obama, compared him to a terrorist? What if somebody wished him ill? That he wouldn’t do well?

Anyone else lose count how many times Sean Hannity has mentioned Barack Obama’s association with so-called terrorist Bill Ayres? Or how about Fox News comparing Obama to Osama… Does this ring a bell?

You’re right Sean, there does seem to be a double standard. If Fox News does it, it’s okay. If a liberal comedian at a roast does it, it’s bad.

Sean Hannity – Elitist Cheese Eater

When Sean Hannity attacked Barack Obama for wanting Dijon mustard on a hamburger, you could practically hear the collective smack of millions of hands on millions of foreheads around the country. So, in an other example of Fox News hypocrisy, Sean Hannity will soon be dining on “elitist” cheeses at the White House Correspondents Dinner with Sarah Todd Palin. Also at the event will be celebrities such as Jon Bon Jovi, Taye Diggs, Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner, John Cusack, Felicity Huffman, Sting and Kevin Bacon, to name a few. How’s that for fancy?
